When to go
The recommended time to go is June to September.

Day 01 : Arrive - Leh

On arrival at Leh airport and then transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Leh.
Leh is the capital of Ladakh. Towering over the city is the tall nine storied palace built by Ladakh's ruler Sengge Namgyal in the early 17th century. It is believed to have served as the model for the Potala Palace in Lhasa. However, it is in a dilapidated condition today. Behind the palace stands the Namgyal Tsemo Gompa. In the colourful bazaars are the fascinating little shops with everything from semi-precious stones - lapis, coral, turquoise and pearls to fine curios and artifacts. The whole shopping experience is marvelous.

Day 02 : Leh - Ulleytokpo/Alchi - Lamayuru - Ulleytokpo/Alchi

After breakfast drive to Lamayuru, en route visit Lakir Monastery, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and Magnetic hill. Check in at the camp at Alchi or Ulleytokpo. In the afternoon, a drive to visit the mesmerizing Moon landscapes and the Lamayuru monastery. Overnight stay at Ulleytokpo or Alchi. Ulleytokpo is one of the well known trekking bases and camping in Ulleytokpo is considered one of the most beautiful experiences, amidst the snow draped mountains. Lamayuru is the oldest religious centre of Ladakh. The Monastery here beats all others in sheer grandeur and in its uniqueness of wood carving, statues and frescoes. Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, built in 1517, is a beautiful Gurudwara constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak to commemorate his visit to the Ladakh region. At Magnetic Hill it has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on a neutral gear the vehicle slides up-hill due to the magnetic force. One of the wonders of the nature!

Day 03 : Ulleytokpo /Alchi - Leh

After breakfast drive back to Leh en route visit Alchi monastery, Basgo Castle and Hall of Fame. Evening visit the Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay at Leh. Alchi is nestled in the valley of the Indus River along the ancient trade route and is famous for its gompas, some over a thousand years old. Its wall paintings deserve a special mention. Basgo is a historical town situated on the bank of the Indus River in Ladakh. It is known for its gompas and historical ruins. The complex of buildings includes a ruined fortress dating from 15th century as well as two large temples and a small shrine. Hall Of Fame is a museum maintained by the Indian Army. One can see the memorabilia, Biographies of eminent defense personalities, images and weapons used during the Kargil War.

Day 04 : Leh - Khardongla Pass - Leh

Morning, proceed to reach Khardongla Pass which lies 39 kms from Leh and at 18380 ft altitude. Visit the world highest motorable pass . Drive back to Leh by lunch time. Afternoon visit the tiny local shops in the main bazaar. Overnight stay at Leh. The Khardong La Pass is situated at an incredible elevation of over 5,800 m (18,680 ft). It lies on the route between Leh and the Shyok and Nubra valleys. In fact the Khardung La can be termed the gateway to the Karakoram or the land of black gravel as the name itself translates. There is a large glacier on the Nubra side of this pass. The route over this pass is difficult and treacherous.

Day 05 : Leh - Pangong Lake & Back

Leave as early as 6:30 am, proceed for full day excursion to Pangong Lake, which is one of the most amazing Lakes in Ladakh and return to Leh. Overnight stay at Leh. Pangong Lake in Ladakh is the world's highest brackish lake at 14,256 feet above sea level. It is 134 km long and extends across the Indian-Chinese border. Two thirds of the length of the lake lies in China.

Day 06 : Leh - Departure

Drop in time to the Leh airport to connect the flight for onward Destination.
